Thursday

Hey everyone!!

Sorry I didn't update last night I was tired. So here's my update for the last two days! :-)

Yesterday I spent the whole day stripping old wallpaper off of wood paneling. Needless to say that is a very very tedious job but it looks great now :-) Yesterday night Lorena invited us all over for dinner and then we sat out on her porch and talked. It was really fun! Lorena has offered to take me to Four Corners sometime soon. :-)

I really think the Lord is telling me to work on my patience because today I painted trim aaaalllll daaaay. I repainted all the trim around the windows, doorways, and closets in the house we are remodeling. And it looks like I'll be stripping more wallpaper tomorrow :-)

So Daddy you'd be really proud of me! I wouldn't have been able to do the trim with out your expert teaching. :-)

I've been working by myself pretty much all week but that's OK with me because the jobs I've had the last couple of days have needed a lot of concentration on my part. The first youth group comes the week after next and I'm looking forward to that.

I've met a few of the people here, met a couple of the younger people (closer to my age) but haven't really got a chance to talk to them. There is a girl, a christian, who is a sophomore in High School named Shannon who will be my "companion" as John put it in a couple of weeks. I haven't met her yet but I'm stoked about it.

I'm super excited about tomorrow. We are going to go into town sometime tomorrow afternoon and then tomorrow evening we are going to go to an auction! That will be a lot of fun.

Well I've gotta run!

First Day and Pictures!! :-)

This is the view from the Bloom's house
again
Mrs. Bloom's flowers
Full moon, the view, and a rose trellis
and again

First Flight out of MCI to Denver
Second flight on the turbo-prop plane
I was wondering...are these missile silos?
Pretty River

Yes there was still snow on the mountains!! :-)

*editor's note: yes I know the pictures are in the wrong order but I don't feel like changing it*

Well today was amazing!! :-) The weather is so nice!! It got up to 100 today but it didn't feel hot because there is no humidity. I helped sort clothes and school supplies for the mission, then I helped rip up carpet and lay new carpet in one of the trailers. I also scrubbed down the kitchen and started taking down wall paper. Everyone here is so nice and I feel completely comfortable.

I really like it here. The landscape is so amazing. Tomorrow we are supposed to go on a walk after dinner and I am really looking forward to it. It is so different then what I'm used too and I really like it. I am blown away by the difference the Lord created in just the space between Indiana and Arizona.

Well its getting late and I'd better run!

ARRIVED!!!

Hey y'all!!

Just a quick update. I have arrived!! My flight to Denver was completely full, it also arrived late so I had to rush from gate 24 all the way down the concourse to gate 64 but I made it in time :-) My second flight was on a turbo-prop plane and it was quite fun! There was a bit of turbulance but nothing major. The view on that flight was amazing. I have some pictures from both flights but its late and I'm pretty tired because I'm not used to the time change here yet so they will have to wait for another day. :-)

The land here is so beautiful. It reminds me more and more what an amazing God I have. I haven't seen much of the landscape here yet because it was dark when we got here but the outlines of the buttes and hills in the light of the almost full moon was breath taking in its own way.

Well I guess that is all for now. I will update again soon!

Take care y'all!!

First update!

Hey y'all!

Many of y'all know that I'm going to Immanuel Mission for the summer to help out. I can't believe that I'm heading out in three days (monday)!! I've very excited and can't wait to see how the Lord works everything out this summer.

I know this is a very short blog but I just got back to Kansas City after a week at Sooner Bible Camp and I have quite a bit to do to get ready and I want to spend time as I can with my family before I leave. I will update again once I get out there!
